We are going to learn how to import your data from a Facebook Fan Page into your application with Twilight Tech CMS.
With this feature, you’ll be able to import from your Facebook Fan Page into your app in a few seconds your :
You will need to create a Facebook API key to connect import your data from your page to your app. Click here to know how to do it. – CAUTION – You absolutely need to enter your API into the Backoffice, not in the editor. To do it, go in
Backoffice –> Settings –> APIs –> Facebook API Keys
As the Facebook page feature, the Facebook import feature can only use Facebook fan page (the page you can like), not a Facebook user account (the one you can add as a friend).
When you Create a new App
When you create a new app, a window appears asking you to connect your Facebook Page. Just enter your Facebook Page URL or your Facebook Page ID to connect it automatically like this:
Your Facebook Page is now imported to your app! Once you’ve imported your data, Images and calendar will automatically be updated when you add something in your Facebook Page. Places and Contact will not be automatically updated, you have to do to it manually.
When you already have an app
If you already have an app, click on the “Features button” on the top of the screen:
You just have to click on the “Facebook Import” button on the top right of the screen:
Then, enter your Facebook Page URL or your Facebook Page ID in the window above like this:
Now another window appears to inform you which features will be imported from your Facebook Page:
Click on “Next”. Your Facebook Page is now imported and you can access it from the basic Siberian’s features in your application. This importation will also automatically create new features in your app even if you already have these features:
Once you’ve imported your data, Images and calendar will automatically be updated when you add something in your Facebook Page. Places and Contact will not be automatically updated, you have do to it manually.
